Good afternoon everyone! I wrote this blog to update everyone on my progress up until now. 2008 was a great year for me. It was the necessary break from 2007, which proved to be the dreariest year I’ve had in a while. But I have been blessed. I’ve learned many things about myself and those around me. I continue to reach closer and closer to my dreams, and not only am I reaching I am obtaining the very things I put my mind and focus towards.

Anyone who knows me knows that Poetry has been my passion. The written word has been something that has held me to sanity time and time and again. Art indeed is a gift from God and my goal has always been to be a part of it. 2008 Undergroundkweens2U was established by myself and one of my business partners Lisa (Ms.Undastood). To date we have put on 5 fabulous events that were packed to capacity (for additional info go to undergroundkweens2u.com). Our next exciting event is The Valentine’s White Chocolate Affair on February 11th. This event, I believe is UK2U’s most diverse and eclectic night to date! Please support and come out an enjoy an entertaining night with a loved one, yourself, or just a good friend. Free food and free massages on SITE from some very attractive masseuses!!

Now UK2U has been one of my biggest blessings! But 2009 brought about a new opportunity! DJ Chicago and the owner of Club Earth, Eric Buckmeyer, approached me with the idea of doing an open mic night. Having thrown many events in my career as an artist one thing I know is that it is hard to through a successful weekly themed night. I was up for the challenge. Every Sunday (starting this Sunday, February 8th) Undergroundkween, DJ Chicago, and Club Earth Present True Soul Sundays.

This night is going to be one of the hottest nights Cleveland has ever had to offer. The talent in Ohio is abundant and a lot of people are working together on this project to make it a safe and entertaining haven for the grown, talented, and sexy! So I implore you, if you know any talented vocalists, musicians, poets, and even dancers tell them to hit me up. My 2 Days Without Running Water!

I know you take it for granted I KNOW YOU DO!!! Only people like vegans and tree huggers and homeless people don't have the capacity to take running water for granted. I mean I'm as concious and I believe am even more concious than the next man but.... lord knows RUNNING WATER SHOULD NOT BE taken for granted!!! I swear to you.

Now I've been homeless before, I've been in dire straights before trust me but the past 10+ years have been nothing but a steady escalation of goodness and growth. An I've been without water for some hours before (landlords fault,LOL) but 2 days???

Friday morning I woke up to flush the toilet only once for the next 48+ hours. I couldn't understand it. Sure Cleveland OH was struck with the wind chill of -30 for the first time in over 10 years (I believe since '94) but did that mean that this poorly constructed house would be struck with frozen WATER PIPES??? Never have I ever had to deal with this before. I mean... My goodness..It would be easier if it wasn't cold as Jack Frosts nutz outside but... It was colder even than that. Plus Brian (my van) was down so I couldn't take shower, bath, shower or bathe the kids, cook, wash dishes, do laundry, mop..NONE OF THAT SHIOT!!! What in the world???

Needless to say I was miserable miserable miserable. Washing up vigorously does not replace a good shower!

My landlord brought me a bunch of bottled water...he's such a Prep he doesn't know much about plumbing and the like, bless his heart... *sigh*

Well either way 2 days later, this Sunday morning My water was working. Praise Allah for that!! All is well with the worlds.

Sunday Mornings!

Good morning Good morning Good morning! So, dy 3 in my detox. Its actually day one, because I cheated yesterday... I made the kids hot wings and macaroni and cheese for dinner...

RIIIIIGGHHHTTTT!!! Exactly!!! Bad move on my part! My goal now is to make them (at least until Friday) only what they like, and not what will make me all crazy and weak. Still all in all I did a good job. 2 days and all I ate was a fortune cookie, a chicken tender, 3 spoons of mac and cheese, and 5 hot wings.... Thats pretty good. And if my main purpose with this master cleanse was to actually detox, than I'd be super crushed... ACTUALLY my main purpose is to jump start my weight loss and catipult my diet transition.

Lemme break it down for those who are lost and think I'm trying to starve myself.

And don't get me wrong, I love me and I think I'm beautiful and sexy! LOL. Really, I am,lol. I just don't appreciate that my love handles, and arms are interfering with me fitting in certain outfits I'd like to wear. I remember last year around March ...no wait this wasn't last march it was March 07, I was in a boot camp. I changed the way I ate, and was also working out at least 4 times a weak. I loved it. During that period I had made being healthy a PRIORITY in my life. My downfall was letting personal issues sidetrack me, and then the death of my stepson just effected me and ways I still haven't fully dealt with.

My health decisions changed in December when I started getting rapid heart beats as I played with my children, and when I ran up ONE flight of stairs... Its just not working! I need to get myself right. So, master cleanse it is. I've decided not to plunge full long into this. I don't know if I will be doing it for 10 full days. I think I will try for the remainder of this week (until Friday). I will also be eating fruits and vegetables alongside the lemon aide. I talked to my wholistic friend and he suggested I do that. While true it won't be the "full on" master cleanse, it definitely won't hurt. Feel me? Just an update...

FTR, my goal is to lose 60 lbs by June! I believe I can do it. I will keep you posted ;)

Good morning Good morning Good morning to you all. At this point I have no idea who is reading this. This is my first blog on my very own blog spot!! I feel like I should be dancing or jumping up and down!! Trust me, I am dancing on the inside. It is 2009 people!! Any resolutions? I have some.. they aren't really resolutions, well hell maybe they are.. the bottom line is everyone should improve upon themselves as they get older and time goes bye. Its called growth and growth indeed is a good thing!

One of my goals was this very blog right here! I want to dedicate more time writing and sharing my testimonies with the masses as they come. It will be hard migrating all my myspace blog readers over here but hopefully they won't mind reading my blogs on both sites. I will admit I will blog MORE FREQUENT on this blog site!

Ladies & gents, yesterday was my first day on the lemon detox master cleanse. My business partner Lisa hipped me to it and we are both doing it together (yeah baby!). Far be it for me to try anything that doesn't invovle eating (wtf!) but this master cleanse indeed does involve doing only 2 things: drinking sea salt water in the morning (and before bed if you choose) and drinking the lemonade elixer (as I call it: pure lemon juice, cayenne pepper, and maple syrup in spring or filtered water). And I am told you have to drink 8-10 glasses of that all day. AND YOU EAT NOTHING!!! And how long I gotta do this sh*t?? A MINIMUM of 10 DAYS!!!!! Yes I said it...go head and laugh it is quite ludacris I admit. But thats the plan. Lisa said she lost 22 lbs on it so I was like...oh well I'm on it. Yesterday was my first day and it was torture. And yes I cheated! I'm sorry...I was cleaning my room and I saw a fortune cookie...so I ate it. And I went to Tower city located here in downtown Cleveland and well... YES, I had 3 tiny chicken samples, all combined to the size of one burger king chicken tender if even that large. So in essence I ate a fortune cookie and a chicken tender, and 9 glasses of the lemonade elixer. Is that that bad??? Its torture. But am focused and I will make it!!

Among that I have made a goal memorize some of my poetry. Eh!! This is being done begrudgingly as I have never really desired to. I read off paper its what I do but with the recent release of my debut cd I felt it necessary. I'm big time now baby!! LOL. So there you have it.

Doesn't that look great!! Shout out to Ceps for the graphics cover! He is awesome!! OK people.. We'll talk more later..I have to dip! Gotta get the kids breakfast ready and gotta prepare for a Saturday morning meeting! Peace and happy New Year!!
